Can other people see my variables?

Only members invited to your workspace can see a project’s variables. Access depends on the role (owner/team member/editor/translator), and translators only see the translation screens of their assigned projects. See Team & roles.

How much does it cost?

The Free plan is free. Pro is $19 per seat (a paid member slot) per month — $15/month billed annually — and translator seats are free on every plan. See the pricing page for a full comparison. Check your plan and upgrade on the web app’s Billing page (owners only).

Where is my data stored?

Variable data is stored only in variable Jar’s cloud.
Sign-in credentials stay in your own browser and the Figma plugin.
No third-party sharing — variable data is never sent to analytics or marketing tools.

Web app: a login link (magic link) sent to your email.
Plugin: Continue with Google or Continue with email (6-digit verification code).
No passwords at all — they can be lost or leaked, and they’re a heavy operational burden.

Does it work offline?

Plugin: syncing requires an internet connection. Editing variables inside Figma follows Figma’s own offline behavior.
Web app (/app): requires an internet connection.

Data export / account deletion?

Export any time from the plugin’s More (…) → Export in DTCG / JSON / CSV, or pull tokens via the read-only API and the MCP server.
Account deletion permanently removes your account and all project, collection, and variable data.

Do you support other design tools (Sketch, Penpot, …)?

Figma only, for now. The plugin depends on the Figma Variables API, so other tools would need separate integrations — prioritized by market demand.
