Frequently asked questions
What counts as a seat?
Editors and admins are paid seats. The workspace owner and all translators are free — you only pay for people who edit tokens.
Do translators cost extra?
No. Translator seats are unlimited and free on every plan.
Can I get an invoice or tax document?
Yes. Payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record — checkout issues invoices and handles VAT and sales tax automatically.
Can I export my data?
Anytime. DTCG, JSON, and CSV export are available on every plan — no lock-in.
Do I need the Figma plugin?
Yes, for sync. The plugin connects your Figma file; translation, review, and history all live on the web.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes, personal use is free. No credit card required.
What happens when the AI translation cap runs out?
The built-in cap resets at the start of each month (UTC). Once exhausted, work with a human translator or wait for the reset — Pro includes 30,000 cells/month, and higher volumes are available on request.
If I downgrade from Pro to Free, will my data be deleted?
No. Your data is preserved, and only items exceeding the cap switch to read-only.
Am I charged just for sending an invite?
Yes — admin and editor invitations count as paid seats from the moment they're sent, since billing follows the admin's seat assignment (the same model as Google Workspace and Atlassian). There's no upfront charge though: on monthly plans, a prorated amount for the days the seat was held is added to your next invoice, and invitations expire automatically after 30 days if not accepted. When you reduce seats, they stay usable until the end of the billing period and billing drops at the next renewal.
